Compensation and Benefits:

• Starting Salary:

o $64,661.94 – Officers with less than 8 years of experience

o $69,927.75 – Officers with 8 or more years of experience

• Additional Benefits:

• Promotional Opportunity:

o Applicants with 8 or more years of certified law enforcement experience will be promoted to the rank of Corporal after 90 days of satisfactory performance evaluation.

Conditions of Employment:

• All applicants will be subject to a one-year probationary period, regardless of experience level.

• Must hold current or prior MPCTC police certification

• Must have separated in good standing from a Maryland law enforcement agency within the last three (3) years

• Law Enforcement Experience / Education Review

• Chief’s Interview

• Background Investigation

• Polygraph Examination

• Psychological Evaluation

• Medical Evaluation
